Stan Bullington (class of 1977)
Stan has recently published a book entitled Solomon on Wealth, which examines what Solomon wrote about wealth and applies it to personal finances in today's world. Solomon on Wealth is available from several stores in Athens, including CEI Bookstore and Nanette's Books and Trims, as well as from a number of other religious bookstores around the country, and from Amazon.com.
Stan was also recently named an inaugural member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers in the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University. Stan has been a faculty member in Industrial & Systems Engineering at Mississippi State since 1987. He lives in Starkville, Mississippi, with his wife Leanne and their children Amy (19), Will (15), Suzanne (14), and Andrew (11).
Ben Curry
Ben was hired by UAH as a student assistant in computer support, as he was graduating from ABS. Now a CISSP, MCP, CNE, and CCNA, Ben has more than 15 years of experience designing, managing, implementing, and securing datacenter IT solutions. He specializes in knowledge management and collaboration technologies as a trainer and consultant for Mindsharp, a company focused on the next generation of Microsoft products. Ben is also a coauthor of The Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Administrator's Companion -- William R. Stanek, Series Editor. Published by Microsoft Press.

Jane (Tennyson) Siniard, Class of 1965
Mrs. Siniard was recently named to the Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. She received a ribbon with a medal and a certificate signed by Governor Bob Riley. Among the achievements for which Mrs. Siniard was recognized were:
- Transportation director
- Coordinator of In-Home Services
- Helping implement Medicare Part D
- Home visits to seniors to explain programs
- Scheduling doctors' and physical therapy appointments
- Liaison with Social Security to resolve problems
- Aging Foundation Board of Directors
- Original task force member who implemented first "Poke Sallet Follies"
- Supervising Farmers Market for County Commission
- Fundraiser for CASA
- Fundraiser for Department of Human Resources
- Girl Scout leader
James B. Johnson, Class of 1983
On July 15, 2008, Mr. Johnson assumed responsibility of the US Army Developmental Test Command after previously serving as Deputy to the Commanding General.
Mr. Johnson was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in January 2007. His prior assignments include Director of the US Army Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Developmental Test Command, as well as multiple assignments in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Joint Program Office in Huntsville, Alabama. He was Director of Test Operations; Deputy Product Manager of the Test, Training and Exercise Capability (TTEC) Product Office; and Chief of the Test Products Division in TTEC.
Robin Carter Clem, Class of 1990
Mrs. Clem received the Lydia Malvina Hammerly Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award. A 1994 graduate of Athens State, she played softball and was very involved in student activities while on campus. She attended Birmingham School of Law and currently is in private law practice with her own firm in Huntsville. She also serves on the Athens State Alumni Board.

Tommy Coblentz, Jr., moved to the position of Regions Bank City President for Athens and Limestone County.
Dr. Bill Thrasher
Dr. Bill Thrasher stepped down as president of Columbia Academy in Columbia, TN, at the end of the 2007 school year, a position he held since September, 1996. Dr. Thrasher has been in the field of education for over 30 years having served as teacher, coach and Athletic Director from grade school to junior college. He has been in administrative roles as Assistant Principal, Principal, Superintendent and President in both public and private education.
Suzanne Chandler Schrimsher, Class of 1982
Suzanne is the hands-on partner in Suzanne's Bakery and Eatery at 12307-F East. Forrest Street in Athens. The bakery specializes in cakes, pies, cookies, as well as hearty salads, sandwiches, and casseroles. Also a partner in the business is Vickie Smith, mother of former student T. J. Smith. Members of Suzanne's staff who are also ABS alumni: April Besherse Ridgeway, her mother Denise Besherse, and Holly Clem.
