Elementary and secondary student grades or grade reports may be held until overdue library books are either returned, renewed, or a fine of $.05 per day the book is late is paid. The fine is not to exceed the price the library paid for the book.
CollectionThe collection which is presently over 6,500 books is developed primarily to support the academic curriculum of Athens Bible School. The online catalog (
http://abs.libdata.com) which will be functional soon, will serve as an index to the books in the library. In the event of technical difficulties, the old card catalog (no longer maintained), Sears Subject Headings, the Library of Congress Subject Headings, or a librarian may be consulted in order to pinpoint the Dewey Decimal area in which a particular book can be located.
Internet AccessThe Information Super-Highway via the World Wide Web is now available for the faculty, staff, and students in the computer section of the library and student usage will be closely monitored. Those who abuse this privilege will be subject to punishment.
Periodical IndexesThe library presently subscribes to over 45 periodical titles and specific articles from them can be found in the Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature which is adjacent in the reference section. Aside from the actual hardcopy (paper) format of these periodical, librarians may assist you in locating periodical information from the Athens State University Library databases. Library usage instruction is provided at both the Athens Bible School Library and the Athens State University Library.
